Federal government Moves to Establish DIA as a Crown Corporation

CPAC: National Defence Minister David McGuinty and Secretary of State for Defence Procurement Stephen Fuhr provide an update on new legislation, Bill C-40, which proposes to establish the Defence Investment Agency (DIA) as a Crown corporation.

The government says the reform would give the DIA greater autonomy and operational flexibility to accelerate, modernize and transform defence procurement. (October 6, 2026) (no interpretation)
