Minister McGuinty and Premier Smith Highlight Defence Investments in Alberta

CPAC: At Canadian Forces Base Edmonton, National Defence Minister David McGuinty and Alberta Premier Danielle Smith highlight approximately $8 billion in investments in military infrastructure across Alberta. The funding includes approximately $550 million to establish Alberta as the western main operating base for the Royal Canadian Air Force’s CC-330 Husky fleet. The investments are aimed at modernizing and expanding military infrastructure and supporting Canada’s defence capabilities while creating economic opportunities in Alberta. They are joined by Liberal MP Matt Jeneroux and Alberta Jobs Minister Joseph Schow. (no interpretation)
